NEWS PAGE
This is a history site! Why have a news page?
Nt is often said that the news is the first draft of history, and an understanding of history is
important to understand current events. In a time where far too many people are getting
their news from echo chambers and biased sources where opinion is presented as news,
this page is intended to help users find reliable sources of current information that use the
highest standards of objective journalism.
Where can I find reliable sources of news.
First, use multple sources of news if you wish to be fully informed. Some of the best that I
rely on:
NPR -- National Public Radio
BBC -- British Broadcasting Corporation
C-SPAN -- Unfiltered coverage of Congress and other important events
POLITICO -- Non-partisan political coverage
AP -- Associated Press, the global wire service many news outlets rely on
REUTERS -- Another outstanding global wire service
TIME -- The remaining weekly news magazine offers excellent analysis of news
While some people that may be the subject of unfavorable coverage label any source of the
coverage biased or fake, these news organizations reliably provide unbiased news coverage.
If you have additional suggestions for objective news sources, please contact me for
consideration.
